Position Overview:
The SaaS Product & Market Strategy role is responsible for identifying market opportunities and translating them into viable SaaS products and services. This role conducts market research, validates product ideas through experiments and pilot initiatives, and develops strong business cases to ensure product–market fit before commercialization. Working closely with cross-functional teams such as Product, Technology, Marketing, Finance, and Sales, the role drives strategic recommendations, builds product roadmaps, and ensures new solutions are aligned with customer needs, market trends, and company growth objectives.
Key Responsibilities:
Product & Service Ideation
Identify and formulate new SaaS product or service concepts based on market insights, customer needs, and emerging industry trends.Market Research & Insight Generation
Conduct quantitative and qualitative research on industries, customers, and competitors to uncover unmet needs, pain points, and growth opportunities.Opportunity Assessment
Analyze market potential and prioritize product opportunities aligned with company strategy and revenue objectives.Product Validation & Experimentation
Validate new product ideas through interviews, pilot projects, proof-of-concept (PoC), and MVP testing to measure product–market fit before commercialization.Business Case Development
Develop feasibility studies including pricing strategy, value proposition, revenue projections, cost estimation, and risk analysis.Strategic Recommendation
Provide go/no-go recommendations to management based on data-driven insights and validation results.Product Strategy & Roadmap Planning
Define strategic direction and create product or service roadmaps to guide development and market launch.Cross-Functional Collaboration
Work closely with Product, Technology, Marketing, Finance, Legal, and Business teams to ensure alignment from ideation to launch.Commercialization Support
Support the transition of validated products to Sales and Business teams, ensuring readiness for market adoption and revenue generation.Market Trend Monitoring
Continuously track market trends, competitor activities, and customer behavior to refine product strategy and identify new opportunities.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Finance, or a related field. A Master’s degree (MBA) is a plus
Maximum age 35 years
5+ years of experience in business development, sales, or a related field
Proven track record of driving revenue growth and building strong client relationships
Experience in identifying market needs for product development or sourcing from partners is a plus
Familiarity with SaaS products and proven ability to drive revenue growth in this area
Ability to analyze complex market data and develop effective strategies
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong negotiation skills with a proven ability to close deals
Strong interpersonal skills to establish and maintain partnerships
Understanding of market trends, customer needs, and competitive landscape
Ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks effectively
Proficient in using CRM software and other business development tools
Results-oriented with a proactive attitude
Strong leadership and team collaboration skills
Adaptability to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment
