Position Overview:
We are seeking an experienced IT Managed Services Engineer L3 with strong managed services and certification credentials to operate, secure, and support multi-tenant client environments. The role requires deep operational skills across infrastructure, networking, identity, and endpoint/platform services in an MSP environment, a security-first mindset, and demonstrated experience with incident, change, and problem management. The successful candidate will ensure reliable, resilient, and compliant IT services while collaborating with service delivery, engineering, and client stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:

Operate and support multi-tenant client environments across cloud and on-premises infrastructure, ensuring availability, performance, and adherence to SLAs.

Lead and coordinate incident response, triage, escalation, root cause analysis, and post-incident reviews to drive continuous improvement.

Manage change and release processes: assess risk, author and review change requests, perform implementation and rollback plans, and ensure successful cutovers with minimal client impact.

Implement and maintain secure configuration baselines, patch management, backup and recovery validation, and vulnerability remediation across client estates.

Administer identity and access management solutions including Azure AD, hybrid AD, RBAC, MFA, and privileged access controls; perform entitlement reviews and access audits.

Design and operate networking and secure connectivity for clients: VPN, ExpressRoute, firewalls, segmentation, load balancing, and secure remote access patterns.

Develop, maintain, and automate runbooks, playbooks, and operational scripts (PowerShell, Bash, automation tools) to provide repeatable, auditable operational tasks and escalations.

Implement and operate monitoring, alerting, and observability across systems and services using platform-native and third-party tools; tune alerts and lead on-call rotations.

Support client onboarding, migrations, and platform upgrades; produce implementation, cutover, rollback plans and technical documentation in partnership with architects and project teams.

Provide technical leadership and mentoring to L1/L2 teams, manage escalations, contribute to service improvement initiatives, and participate in client technical reviews and governance forums.
Qualifications:
1. Education
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent practical experience.
2. Professional Experience
Minimum 6 years of professional experience in IT infrastructure, systems, and operations, with at least 3 years in an MSP or managed services environment supporting multiple client tenants. Demonstrated experience leading production support, incident response, and meeting managed service SLAs.
3. Certifications (Required)

Required: Relevant vendor or industry certification demonstrating hands-on operational expertise (examples: Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) or Azure Security Engineer Associate (AZ-500), Cisco CCNP, CompTIA Server+/Network+/Security+, or equivalent).

Required: At least one active certification relevant to managed services operations or security (examples above). Candidates with combinations of cloud, networking, or security certifications are strongly preferred.

Recommended: Microsoft Certified: Azure Fundamentals (AZ-900), Microsoft Certified: DevOps Engineer Expert (AZ-400), CISSP, CISM, ITIL Foundation, or other cloud/security/operations accreditations.
4. Core Competencies

Operations & Service Delivery: Proven experience with ITIL-aligned processes (incident, change, problem), SLA-driven managed services, and effective stakeholder communication.

Cloud & On-Prem Infrastructure: Hands-on experience with cloud platforms (preferably Azure), virtualization, servers, storage, and hybrid environments.

Monitoring & Observability: Experience configuring and operating monitoring platforms, alerting, and runbook-driven responses; familiarity with SIEM and log analytics is a plus.

Identity & Access Management: Practical expertise in Azure AD, hybrid AD, MFA, RBAC, and privileged access management.

Networking & Security: Solid understanding of networking fundamentals, secure connectivity, firewalls, VPN, segmentation, and security best practices.

Automation & Scripting: Proficient with PowerShell, Bash, and infrastructure automation tools to drive repeatable deployments and operational tasks.

Communication & Mentoring: Strong written and verbal communication skills, client-facing experience, and the ability to coach junior engineers.
