Position Overview
The SEM Specialist is responsible for planning, executing, and optimizing paid search campaigns across major search engines and paid media platforms for clients in the dental and hospitality sectors. This role requires a blend of hands‑on SEM execution, data‑driven analysis, creative testing, and cross‑channel collaboration to drive efficient lead and booking volume. You will work closely with account managers, creative teams, and analytics partners to deliver predictable performance and continuous improvement.
Key Responsibilities
1. Paid Search Campaign Management
Plan, launch, and manage PPC campaigns across platforms such as Google Ads
Set up campaigns including:
Search campaigns
Display campaigns
Performance Max campaigns
YouTube ads (if applicable)
2. Keyword Research & Strategy
Conduct keyword research using tools such as:
Google Keyword Planner
SEMrush
Ahrefs
Perform keyword mapping and build structured campaign groups.
Identify high-intent keywords to increase conversions.
3. Campaign Optimization
Continuously optimize campaigns by:
Adjusting bids
Improving ad copy
Testing landing pages
Adding negative keywords
Improve CTR, Quality Score, and conversion rates
4. Ad Copy Creation
Write and test compelling ad headlines and descriptions
Conduct A/B testing to improve performance
5. Performance Tracking & Reporting
Track campaign performance using:
Google Analytics
Google Ads
Looker Studio / Data Studio
Generate reports on:
CTR
CPC
Conversion rate
Cost per acquisition (CPA)
ROI / ROAS
6. Conversion Tracking Setup
Implement and maintain:
Google Tag Manager
Conversion tracking
Google Analytics events
Ensure accurate tracking of leads and sales.
7. Budget Management
Manage advertising budgets efficiently
Allocate spend across campaigns to maximize ROI.
8. Competitor & Market Analysis
Monitor competitor ads and strategies
Identify opportunities for campaign improvement.
Qualifications
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Business, Communications, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Professional Experience
Minimum 2 years of hands‑on SEM experience managing paid search campaigns for local service businesses, preferably in dental or hospitality sectors.
Experience optimizing campaigns for appointments, leads, or direct online bookings is preferred.
Core Competencies
Proven expertise with Google Ads, Google Analytics, Google Tag Manager, and relevant ad platform interfaces.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret campaign data, conduct A/B testing, and make data‑driven decisions.
Proficiency in bid strategies (manual, target CPA, ROAS), keyword match types, negative keyword management, and audience targeting.
Strong written communication and ad copywriting skills focused on conversion‑oriented messaging.
Highly organized, detail‑oriented, and capable of managing multiple client accounts simultaneously.
Technical & Preferred Skills
Experience using reporting and dashboard tools such as Looker Studio, Data Studio, or Tableau.
Knowledge of Singapore’s market dynamics, booking behaviors, and healthcare advertising regulations.
Certifications such as Google Ads Search or Google Analytics are an advantage.
