Position Overview
The Retail Manager (Chinese Mandarin) is responsible for leading store operations, driving sales performance, and delivering exceptional customer experiences for Mandarin‑speaking customers. This role combines people leadership, visual merchandising, inventory management, and local marketing coordination to achieve sales targets and operational excellence. The Retail Manager will work closely with regional leadership, marketing, and logistics to ensure store standards, staff development, and community engagement.
Key Responsibilities
I. Brand Planning: Develop annual and quarterly retail brand strategies based on brand positioning; define terminal image standards, merchandising guidelines, SKU mix, and competitive benchmarking strategies; Drive new product launches, market penetration strategies, offline experience initiatives, and promotional plans, with executable frameworks that can be implemented by the team.
II. Retail Terminal Operations: Supervise and inspect the execution at retail stores (merchandising, product trials, POS materials, lightboxes, pricing, etc.); conduct regular store visits; produce visit reports and corrective action plans; maintain proactive communication with national distributors.
III. Sales & Growth Management: Store tiering: flagship stores, growth stores, standard stores, and underperforming stores; Drive store sales growth through product training, new product promotions, hero SKU development, bundled campaigns, promotional programs, and pacing; Analyze SKU performance (best sellers, slow movers, flavor preferences); provide timely feedback and adjustment recommendations to product managers at headquarters; supervise channel and store pricing systems to prevent price disorder.
IV. Marketing Promotion & Brand Exposure: Plan offline promotional activities such as Vape Meetings, product sampling events, and member days; Product training: develop professional product pitches and training materials; empower national distributor teams with product training; set training targets for key chain stores; Coordinate POS materials (lightboxes, posters, display racks, gifts) in alignment with headquarters’ plans; establish deployment standards and coordinate with national distributors on in-store placement and maintenance; Collect consumer feedback to support product optimization and flavor development
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree or above; majors in Marketing, Business Administration, or related fields are preferred;
Minimum 5 years of retail promotion experience in fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG), e-cigarettes/vape, or 3C consumer electronics, with a strong understanding of retail terminal operations and management;
Proficient in standardized store operations, visual merchandising, sales performance improvement, and price system control; able to drive business growth through effective store visits and data analysis;
Strong communication and leadership skills, capable of effectively managing national distributors, training store teams, and coordinating internal and external resources to implement brand strategies and marketing activities;
Highly responsible, able to work under pressure, a strong team player with good communication and coordination skills, and possessing innovation and learning abilities.
