Position Overview

The Logistics & Customs Clearance Specialist (Chinese/Mandarin) will manage end‑to‑end logistics coordination and customs clearance for goods moving between Greater China and Southeast Asia, with an emphasis on Singapore imports and exports. This role requires fluency in Mandarin Chinese, strong knowledge of customs regulations, import/export documentation, freight forwarding operations, and close coordination with carriers, customs brokers, suppliers, and internal stakeholders to ensure timely, compliant, and cost‑effective movement of goods.

Key Responsibilities

• Handle import/export customs clearance for goods in Indonesia, prepare and review declaration documents, coordinate with local customs brokers and customs authorities, and resolve inspections, cargo holds, tax issues, and other exceptions to ensure smooth clearance.

• Develop and maintain local Indonesian logistics channels, including inter-island sea transport, inland waterways, road transport, and dedicated distribution lines, ensuring stable and competitive pricing and capacity.

• Track shipments throughout the entire logistics chain, coordinate booking, container loading, transportation, and delivery confirmation, and address delays, damage, or loss promptly.

• Be familiar with Indonesian customs regulations, tariffs, and import compliance requirements (such as certifications and qualifications) to minimize clearance and logistics risks .

• Complete logistics reconciliation, cost settlement, data statistics, and routine reports, and provide timely logistics updates to internal business teams.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or above; majors in logistics, international trade, or supply chain management preferred.

• At least 2 years of hands-on experience in Indonesian logistics/customs clearance/international freight forwarding, familiar with Indonesian customs processes and documentation, and knowledgeable about logistics networks across Indonesia (including different islands). Able to independently manage the full process including customs clearance, sea freight, and inland transportation.

• Candidates with local Indonesian logistics providers, customs broker resources, or island transport channel resources are preferred.

• Fluent in English reading and writing, able to communicate independently with overseas suppliers. Indonesian language ability or experience living/working in Indonesia is preferred.

• Proficient in Excel; experience using ERP or freight forwarding systems preferred
