Position Overview
The Finance Supervisor will lead day‑to‑day accounting and financial control activities, supervise a small finance team, and support month‑end close, financial reporting, budgeting, and cash management processes. This role requires strong accounting fundamentals, hands‑on experience with bookkeeping and reconciliations, capability to implement and maintain internal controls, and the ability to present clear financial information to operational stakeholders. The Finance Supervisor will collaborate with regional finance partners, payroll, procurement, and external auditors to maintain compliance and support business growth.
Key Responsibilities
Supervise daily accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger entries, bank reconciliations, and fixed asset tracking.
Lead month‑end and year‑end close activities: prepare journal entries, reconcile balance sheet accounts, and ensure timely, accurate financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards.
Prepare and review monthly management reports, variance analyses, and key metrics to support business leaders in financial planning and performance monitoring.
Manage cash flow and treasury activities: monitor bank balances, forecast short‑term cash needs, and coordinate payments to suppliers and payroll processing.
Maintain and improve internal controls and accounting policies; document procedures and ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
Coordinate external audit requests and tax filings, provide supporting schedules and documentation, and implement audit recommendations.
Support budgeting and forecasting processes, working with department heads to collect inputs and consolidate financial plans.
Supervise, mentor, and develop finance staff: assign tasks, review work for accuracy, and provide training to build team capability.
Work with ERP/finance systems to optimize workflows, ensure data integrity, and support system upgrades or implementations.
Maintain accurate financial records and documentation; ensure timely responses to internal and external inquiries.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline; professional accounting qualification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) preferred.
At least 10 years of financial and accounting experience, including 2 or more years of experience as a Finance/Accounting Manager; candidates with work experience in Chinese-funded enterprises or multinational companies are preferred.
Professional Skills: Proficient in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Power Point); fluent in English (listening, speaking, reading and writing); Mandarin proficiency is preferred (not mandatory).
Competencies: Strong communication and coordination skills, excellent learning ability, strong sense of purpose, careful and responsible; able to work under pressure; highly integrity; creative and dedicated
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, month‑end close procedures, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
Hands‑on experience with ERP/finance systems (e.g., NetSuite, SAP, Oracle) and proficient in Excel for analysis and reporting.
Excellent attention to detail, analytical skills, and ability to prioritize tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
Strong communication skills with the ability to present financial information clearly to non‑finance stakeholders.
Demonstrated ability to establish and maintain effective internal controls and compliance practices.
Experience coordinating with auditors and tax advisors; familiarity with regional tax and regulatory requirements preferred.
