Position Overview:
This role is responsible for implementing, supporting, and optimizing Microsoft-based infrastructure and cloud services for enterprise customers. The System Engineer will work across on-premises and Microsoft 365/Azure environments to design, deploy, and maintain secure, scalable solutions that meet client requirements. The role requires strong technical skills, professional Microsoft certifications, and the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Design and Implementation
(1) Design, deploy, and configure Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, DHCP, DNS, and related on-premises services;
(2) Architect and implement Azure IaaS and PaaS solutions, including virtual networks, virtual machines, Azure AD, and hybrid connectivity (ExpressRoute, VPN).Microsoft 365 and Collaboration Services
(1) Configure and manage Microsoft 365 services including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, Teams, OneDrive, and security/compliance features;
(2) Support mail migrations, tenant-to-tenant migrations, and governance for collaboration platforms.Security and Identity
(1) Implement identity and access management using Azure AD, Conditional Access, MFA, and Privileged Identity Management;
(2) Apply security best practices and Microsoft security tooling (Defender for Endpoint, Defender for Cloud, Sentinel) to protect customer environments.Automation and Optimization
(1) Develop automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM templates, or Bicep to streamline deployments and operations;
(2) Monitor performance and costs, implement optimization recommendations, and apply patching and lifecycle management processes.Support and Incident Management
(1) Provide Tier 2/3 support, troubleshoot complex issues across Microsoft stacks, and coordinate incident response and remediation;
(2) Produce clear runbooks, knowledge articles, and handover documentation for operational teams.Client Collaboration and Delivery
(1) Work with customers to gather requirements, produce design documentation, and deliver professional services engagements;
(2) Collaborate with project managers, architects, and third-party vendors to ensure timely, high-quality delivery.
Qualifications:
Education and Experience
(1) Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field, or equivalent experience;
(2) Minimum 3–5 years of experience managing Microsoft server and cloud environments in enterprise settings.Required Certifications
(1) Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate or Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Associate;
(2) Microsoft 365 Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or Microsoft 365 Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate.Technical Skills
(1) Strong experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, and virtualization (Hyper-V or VMware);
(2) Proven experience with Azure services (VMs, VNets, Azure AD, Storage, Key Vault) and Microsoft 365 workloads;
(3) Scripting and automation using PowerShell, Azure CLI, ARM/Bicep, or Terraform;
(4) Familiarity with security technologies and practices, including endpoint protection, SIEM, identity protection, and zero-trust concepts.Core Competencies
(1) Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail;
(2) Excellent verbal and written communication skills, customer-focused mindset, and ability to work independently or in teams;
(3) Experience documenting designs, runbooks, and creating technical knowledge artifacts.Preferred
(1) Prior consulting or professional services experience delivering Microsoft migrations, hybrid identity projects, or cloud adoption engagements;
(2) Additional certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals or certifications from relevant vendors.Hands-on expertise with Microsoft 365 administration (Entra ID, Exchange, SharePoint, Teams) is essential.
Strong practical knowledge of core security principles (MFA, DLP, Conditional Access) and backup strategies for M365.
Excellent troubleshooting skills across Windows OS, MACOSX, desktop hardware, networking, and cloud services.
