Position Overview

We are seeking a Full Stack Developer for the Insurance & Accounting Industry to design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain secure and reliable web applications. This role will contribute to both frontend and backend development for systems that support insurance and accounting workflows, including policy administration, claims, billing, invoicing, payments, reconciliation, reporting, and financial data management.

The ideal candidate is a versatile and analytical developer who can work across the full software development lifecycle. You will collaborate with product, engineering, quality assurance, operations, and business teams to understand requirements, build user-friendly solutions, develop reliable services and integrations, troubleshoot issues, and continuously improve application performance, security, and usability.

Key Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development

• Design, develop, maintain, and enhance full stack web applications supporting insurance and accounting operations.

• Build responsive, accessible, and user-friendly frontend interfaces for business users and customers.

• Develop secure, scalable, and maintainable backend services, business logic, and application programming interfaces.

• Translate business and technical requirements into effective end-to-end software solutions.

• Develop features for workflows such as policy processing, claims, billing, payments, invoicing, reconciliation, reporting, and financial data management.

• Write clean, well-structured, reusable, and well-documented code using established development standards.

• Participate in code reviews and provide constructive feedback to improve code quality, consistency, and maintainability.

• Refactor existing code and recommend improvements to application architecture, performance, and user experience.

Frontend Development

• Develop and maintain frontend components, pages, forms, dashboards, and workflows using modern JavaScript or TypeScript frameworks.

• Implement responsive designs that work effectively across desktop, tablet, and mobile devices.

• Integrate frontend applications with backend services, APIs, authentication systems, and third-party platforms.

• Apply frontend development best practices for usability, accessibility, performance, state management, and browser compatibility.

• Collaborate with product and design teams to convert user requirements and designs into functional interfaces.

• Validate user input and provide clear, consistent, and helpful error messages.

Backend Development and Integrations

• Design and develop backend services, APIs, database interactions, scheduled processes, and supporting application functionality.

• Develop and maintain integrations between insurance, accounting, customer relationship management, payment, reporting, and other business systems.

• Work with RESTful APIs, web services, file transfers, message queues, scheduled jobs, and middleware to support reliable data exchange.

• Design and implement data validation, transformation, error handling, logging, and retry processes.

• Work with relational databases and SQL to create queries, manage data access, and support application functionality.

• Investigate and resolve data inconsistencies, integration failures, and processing errors.

• Help ensure data accuracy, integrity, confidentiality, and traceability across business workflows.

Testing, Deployment, and Support

• Develop unit tests, integration tests, end-to-end tests, and automated test coverage for frontend and backend functionality.

• Collaborate with quality assurance teams to plan test scenarios, reproduce defects, and verify fixes.

• Support application deployments, release activities, and configuration changes across development, testing, and production environments.

• Participate in CI/CD activities and help improve deployment automation, reliability, and release efficiency.

• Monitor application performance and investigate production issues using logs, metrics, tracing, and diagnostic tools.

• Participate in incident management, root-cause analysis, and post-incident improvement activities.

• Maintain technical documentation, deployment notes, troubleshooting guides, API documentation, and support procedures.

Security, Compliance, and Quality

• Apply secure coding practices across frontend, backend, database, and integration components.

• Support access control, authentication, authorization, session management, encryption, and data protection requirements.

• Follow software development lifecycle, change management, version control, and release management procedures.

• Support compliance requirements relevant to insurance and accounting operations, including audit readiness and responsible data handling.

• Identify potential security risks, technical debt, performance concerns, and opportunities for system improvement.

• Ensure solutions meet functional, technical, security, reliability, accessibility, and usability requirements.

Collaboration and Continuous Improvement

• Work closely with product managers, business analysts, quality assurance, operations, security, and business stakeholders.

• Participate in standups, sprint planning, backlog refinement, demonstrations, retrospectives, and technical discussions.

• Estimate development work, communicate progress, and raise technical risks or blockers promptly.

• Recommend improvements to development processes, application architecture, automation, and operational efficiency.

• Share technical knowledge and contribute to team documentation, onboarding, and knowledge transfer.

Qualifications

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Software Engineering, or a related field.

• 2+ years of professional experience in full stack development, software engineering, application development, or a similar role.

• Professional experience with frontend development using JavaScript or TypeScript and a modern framework such as React, Angular, or Vue.js.

• Experience developing backend services using a modern framework or platform such as .NET, Spring, Django, Node.js, or an equivalent technology.

• Strong understanding of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, responsive design, web standards, and frontend application architecture.

• Experience developing or integrating RESTful APIs, web services, authentication, and third-party system interfaces.

• Working knowledge of relational databases, SQL, data modeling, and database performance basics.

• Strong understanding of software development principles, object-oriented programming, data structures, and algorithms.

• Experience with Git or another version control system and collaborative development workflows.

• Understanding of unit testing, integration testing, end-to-end testing, debugging, and quality assurance practices.

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to analyze technical issues methodically across frontend and backend systems.

• Excellent English communication skills for collaboration, documentation, and stakeholder updates.

• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering accurate, secure, reliable, and maintainable software.

• Reliable internet connection, a suitable home office environment, and ability to work effectively with remote or international teams.

Preferred

• Experience with insurance or accounting software and business processes such as policy lifecycle, claims, billing, invoicing, payments, reconciliation, or financial reporting.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.

• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, automated deployments, containers, or infrastructure automation.

• Experience with TypeScript, React, Angular, Vue.js, or comparable frontend technologies.

• Experience with backend technologies such as C#, Java, Python, Node.js, .NET, Spring, Django, or similar platforms.

• Familiarity with message queues, event-driven architecture, ETL processes, or enterprise integration patterns.

• Experience with automated testing frameworks, performance testing, application monitoring, and observability tools.

• Background supporting regulated environments with audit, security, privacy, and compliance considerations.

• Experience working in Agile or Scrum development teams.

• Relevant certifications in cloud computing, software development, security, or database technologies.
