Position Overview
The Senior Sales Account Manager will be responsible for driving sales growth, managing strategic customer accounts, and expanding business opportunities within the chemical raw materials industry. This position will focus on developing long-term relationships with manufacturers, distributors, formulators, and industrial customers while achieving revenue, margin, and customer retention objectives.
The successful candidate will manage the complete B2B sales cycle, from prospecting and market development through quotation, negotiation, order coordination, and account growth. This position is ideal for a sales professional with experience in chemical raw materials, specialty chemicals, industrial chemicals, polymers, additives, solvents, or related products.
Key Responsibilities
Develop the Russian market by gaining in-depth knowledge of the Russian chemical raw materials market, including key information such as market size, growth trends, competitive advantages and disadvantages, export volumes, and other relevant market dynamics.
Identify and target potential customers by analyzing customer profiles, preferences, decision-making processes, and pain points. Develop highly targeted, practical, and market-specific customer acquisition strategies based on the company's product portfolio and the actual needs of the Russian market.
Promote products through multiple channels, integrating both online and offline approaches, including telephone outreach, online market research, on-site customer visits, and participation in industry exhibitions in Russia. Identify customers' core needs, demonstrate product advantages, and enhance the company's brand awareness and market presence.
Monitor business development performance in real time and adjust sales and market development strategies based on data and market feedback to achieve business targets.
Develop and execute market development plans in line with the company's overall strategy and phased objectives for the Russian market. Define key target regions, timelines, priorities, and expected results.
Conduct regular reviews and analysis of market development progress, customer acquisition, market coverage, and other key performance indicators in Russia, identifying strengths, weaknesses, and areas for improvement.
Continuously optimize market development strategies based on market dynamics and changes in the company's business strategy. Adjust priorities and approaches to improve the accuracy and efficiency of market expansion and provide strong support for the company's growth in Russia.
Lead business negotiations and contract execution through strong negotiation and communication skills. Engage in multiple rounds of discussions with customers, respond proactively to customer requirements, and rigorously drive contract negotiations and signing to ensure successful implementation of business cooperation.
Provide high-quality after-sales service by responding promptly to customer inquiries and complaints, clearly defining responsible parties and resolution timelines, and ensuring that customer issues are addressed efficiently and properly to enhance customer satisfaction.
Qualifications
Russian nationality or native-level Russian proficiency is preferred. Candidates should possess fluent and natural Russian language skills, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing, and be able to use Russian professionally for business communication, contract drafting, proposal preparation, and other business activities.
Strong knowledge of Russian culture, business etiquette, and relevant laws and regulations, with excellent cross-cultural communication and adaptability. The candidate should be able to understand Russian customers' communication styles and business practices, establish strong business relationships, and effectively mitigate potential communication and cooperation risks arising from cultural differences.
Solid knowledge of chemical raw materials and the chemical raw materials industry, including product characteristics, pricing, market dynamics, and industry trends. Able to identify product advantages and market positioning and provide customers with professional product consultation and solutions to enhance customer confidence and trust in the company.
At least 3 years of experience in customer development, product promotion, or international trade related to the Russian chemical market. Candidates with proven experience in successfully developing Russian customers and converting opportunities into completed business projects are preferred.
Strong problem-solving and responsiveness, with the ability to quickly identify the root causes of customer issues, market changes, contract execution problems, and other unexpected challenges, and develop practical solutions to ensure business continuity and customer satisfaction.
Strong resilience and ability to work under pressure, with the ability to maintain a positive attitude and high level of execution in a fast-paced environment with demanding business targets.
