System Engineer (Managed IT Services & Microsoft 365)
Support diverse client environments across Microsoft 365, Windows, identity, security, and networking — owning issues through resolution while growing your systems engineering expertise.
About Asiacruit
At Asiacruit, we connect top talent with forward-thinking organizations across industries. Our mission is to help businesses grow through smart, strategic, and people-focused solutions. We support companies by providing high-quality Philippine-based talent for both local and global markets.
About the Role
We’re looking for a System Engineer to provide hands-on technical support and system administration across multiple client environments.
This is not a basic helpdesk role. You’ll work across Microsoft 365, Windows systems, identity and access, endpoints, networking, security, backup and recovery, while supporting day-to-day IT operations for US-based clients.
You’ll be part of a managed IT services environment, where you’ll support different client environments, take ownership of technical issues through resolution, and work closely with senior engineers when more complex or higher-risk issues require escalation.
This is an early-career engineering role with opportunities to build broader experience across cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, disaster recovery, automation, and client-facing IT service delivery.
What You’ll Do
Provide hands-on technical support and system administration across multiple client environments.
Administer and troubleshoot Microsoft 365 environments, including Entra ID, Exchange Online, user accounts, licensing, access, and endpoint/device administration.
Support and troubleshoot Windows endpoints, applications, peripherals, and common network/connectivity issues.
Support Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, and hybrid environments where applicable.
Monitor and respond to technical issues and security alerts across endpoint, identity, email, and related security platforms.
Support endpoint security, access controls, patching, software deployment, and security configurations in line with established standards.
Monitor backup and disaster recovery systems, investigate routine failures, and support scheduled restore and recovery-validation activities.
Support client onboarding, offboarding, environment discovery, implementation, and technical projects.
Communicate directly with client users and stakeholders regarding technical issues and assigned projects.
Use ticketing or PSA systems to track, document, and resolve incidents and service requests.
Maintain accurate technical documentation, system records, inventories, diagrams, and knowledge articles.
Use and progressively develop PowerShell or other automation tools to improve IT operations.
Troubleshoot issues methodically, identify root causes, and take ownership through resolution.
Escalate complex or higher-risk issues appropriately with clear diagnostics and supporting evidence.
Coordinate with senior engineers, security teams, vendors, and service providers when required.
Support other IT operational requirements and projects as needed.
What We’re Looking For
IT Support / System Administration Experience – Required
Minimum 2 years of hands-on experience in IT support, system administration, system engineering, or a similar role.
Helpdesk experience, internships, OJT, or relevant lab experience can be considered.
Hands-on experience troubleshooting Windows environments, endpoints, applications, peripherals, and common technical issues.
Strong foundational knowledge of networking and the ability to troubleshoot issues methodically.
Microsoft 365 – Required
Working familiarity with Microsoft 365 administration is required.
Experience or practical exposure to Entra ID, Exchange Online, and endpoint/device administration.
Experience may come from professional work, hands-on labs, or relevant certification study.
PowerShell – Required
Basic PowerShell familiarity is required.
Able to safely read and run basic scripts.
Willingness and aptitude to learn how to modify and develop scripts.
English Communication – Required
Good written and spoken English communication skills are required.
Able to communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical users.
Comfortable supporting US-based clients and explaining technical issues clearly.
Managed IT / Multi-Client Experience – Preferred
Experience working for a managed IT service provider, IT outsourcing company, service desk, or other environment supporting multiple clients is an advantage.
Experience with RMM, MDM, endpoint security/EDR, PSA/ticketing, remote support, backup, or disaster recovery platforms is beneficial.
Candidates without MSP experience may still be considered if they have strong relevant IT support or system administration experience.
Infrastructure & Security Experience – Preferred
Experience with Windows Server, Active Directory, Group Policy, virtualization, or hybrid cloud/on-premises environments.
Exposure to endpoint security, identity and access management, backup and disaster recovery, or cybersecurity operations.
Experience with Google Workspace or other productivity platforms is an advantage.
CompTIA A+, Network+, Security+, or relevant Microsoft certifications are beneficial.
Experience working with vendors, ISPs, carriers, cloud providers, or other technology partners is an advantage.
Exposure to regulated or security-conscious environments is a plus.
Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field is helpful but not required.
Technical Troubleshooting & Work Style
Strong problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
Able to investigate issues, test assumptions, and identify root causes rather than relying only on scripted fixes.
Comfortable managing multiple priorities across different client environments.
Understands when to resolve an issue independently and when to escalate.
Detail-oriented and consistent with documentation, procedures, and change-control requirements.
Comfortable learning new technologies and adapting to different client environments.
Able to work independently while collaborating closely with senior engineering staff.
Working Set-Up
Hybrid role based in Makati City, Metro Manila.
Work Arrangement: Hybrid
Schedule: Tuesday to Saturday, 10:00 PM to 9:00 AM (Manila Time), generally aligned with US client hours.
Reliable internet connection and a suitable remote-work environment are required for work-from-home days.
This is a multi-client environment requiring strong prioritization, context switching, and self-management.
Why Join?
Build practical engineering experience across Microsoft 365, cloud, infrastructure, cybersecurity, endpoints, networking, backup and disaster recovery, rather than being limited to basic helpdesk work. You’ll receive hands-on mentorship from senior engineering staff and have opportunities to develop your technical skills through real client environments, vendor resources, and relevant certification paths.
You’ll also have a defined development path toward System Engineer II, with increasing responsibility as you demonstrate technical capability, sound judgment, and consistency. Finally, you’ll gain direct exposure to US-based clients and varied IT environments, giving you broader experience across managed IT services and modern infrastructure.
