About the Role
Our client, an AI data center operator in Jakarta, is looking for an L2 Electrical Infrastructure Engineer to help maintain the availability, capacity, and safe operation of electrical distribution systems supporting high-density GPU racks.
The role focuses on electrical power distribution inside the data hall, including power distribution units (PDUs), busways, and rack power feeds. You will monitor electrical performance, troubleshoot faults, support preventive maintenance, and coordinate with other infrastructure teams and L3/OEM support to minimize the risk of GPU service interruptions.
What You’ll Do
Monitor electrical distribution systems, power capacity, loading, and redundancy for GPU racks.
Investigate electrical alarms, abnormal loading, phase imbalance, breaker trips, and power-quality issues.
Perform or coordinate preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, and troubleshooting of electrical equipment.
Support safe electrical switching, failover procedures, and incident recovery.
Interpret single-line diagrams, electrical schematics, and equipment documentation to diagnose faults.
Follow electrical safety requirements, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), permit-to-work, and established operating procedures.
Participate in incident investigations, root cause analysis, and corrective actions.
Coordinate with facilities teams, infrastructure operators, and L3/OEM support during complex incidents.
Provide 24/7 shift or on-call support as required.
What We’re Looking For
Diploma or bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Power Engineering, Facilities Engineering, or an equivalent recognized technical qualification.
3–5 years of hands-on experience operating and maintaining mission-critical electrical infrastructure, preferably in a data center or other 24/7 critical facility.
Working knowledge of electrical distribution equipment, including PDUs, RPPs, busways, circuit breakers, grounding, and protection systems.
Familiarity with switchgear, transformers, UPS, batteries, generators, and ATS/STS systems.
Ability to interpret electrical diagrams and troubleshoot electrical faults and alarms.
Understanding of electrical redundancy, load management, safe switching, and failover procedures.
Familiarity with preventive maintenance, LOTO, permit-to-work, SOP/MOP/EOP, incident management, and root cause analysis.
Experience with high-density data center electrical distribution is an advantage.
Relevant local electrical competency or licensing where required by law.
Willingness to provide 24/7 shift or on-call support.
Good command of English (mandatory). Mandarin is an advantage.
Why Join
